Navigating Allergies at Disney
Navigating any food allergy can be challenging and stressful. I (Heather) have a child with food allergies. I know how much anxiety can be brought on by trying to find “safe” foods when dining out or even just grocery shopping.
One place we have become more comfortable with dining out is Disney World. Disney World is very accommodating to food allergies. This is such a huge relief!
Before placing any order, speak to the chef so you know exactly what is safe for the person in your party with food allergies. I make a point to speak to the chef before ordering any meal, even if it a place that we have eaten at before.
Enjoy Life Replaced at Disney World
If you or someone you know has food allergies you have probably heard of the company “Enjoy Life.” This brand boasts that it is FREE from 14 allergens! It is also made in a dedicated in a nut free and gluten free facility.
It is rumored that “Enjoy Life” is no longer making their baked good products. However, they still make chips, chocolate bars, and baking chocolates. You may still find some stray “Enjoy Life” baked products at Disney, but they are being phased out. With this, another allergy friendly brand has made their way to Disney: Partake.
Partake is free from the top 9 allergens! They make many different types of cookies, mini cookies, snack packs, classic grahams, and breakfast mixes. At Disney you will find their cookies at different locations, including quick service spots. I just love that Disney has a quick grab and go option for everyone!
What This Means for Your Disney Vacation
With this change, you will still get a quick grab and go treat option for everyone in party. However, you still should double check the ingredients and make sure they are safe for whoever will be enjoying the snack.
If you are heading to Mickey’s Not so Scary Halloween Party, I am happy to report that nothing will be different! Disney World is still giving Guests the delicious “Enjoy Life” chocolate bars.

If you are heading to the Halloween party and will be collecting the tokens, be aware that your haul may not look as big as those collecting candy at each trick-or-treat location. However, the “Enjoy Life” chocolate bars are FULL SIZE!
