Disney is removing previously booked park reservations and here is why…
Park Reservations
Since the phased reopening of the theme parks, park reservations have been required for all four theme parks.Although Disney makes more park passes available at times, it’s a good idea to secure them as soon as you book your vacation. This is especially important during busier times of the year.
Earlier Disney shared how they really feel about the Park Reservation system and it surprised us. This is years after this system was applauded by the previous CEO.
While park pass reservations may be able to secure a good majority of guests visiting the parks, other guests do find that they are limited for many days of the year. Now, certain ticket types will not need park reservations!
Now Being Removed
Starting with park visits on Jan. 9, 2024, theme park reservations will no longer be required for date-based tickets. This is great news for guests with the standard theme park ticket. Park Reservations will still be required for guests with student/sport/convention tickets and Annual Passholders if visiting the parks before 2:00 pm.
Guests that are already booking their 2024 trips to Walt Disney World may notice some changes. Walt Disney World is now notifying guests with previously booked theme park reservations for visits on or after January 9, 2024 that their Theme Park Reservations are now removed from their accounts.
Disney shares, “These reservations are no longer necessary and have been removed from the My Plans section.” Although select groups still must make Park Reservations, this is great news for many guests with 2024 visits to Walt Disney World.

Nothing new for Annual Passholder’s. Still getting screwed. Wake Up Disney! For 49 years before Covid we had no problem but then you had to come up with all these rules and regulations. Get rid of the reservation system check out your attendance and see why people are no longer coming to the parks

They need to just drop all of them together. It was the worst system ever conceived. This is why universal is busier than Disney

I was under the impression that, after January of 2024, passholders were no longer required to make reservations when visiting any of the parks before 2PM. Is this not correct?
