Park Hours
We get pretty excited when new park hours are announced. Especially if that means that we can enjoy the parks even later. For August, guests can enjoy even more time in the Walt Disney World Parks. Be sure to check these new hours HERE.
Disney does offer a few opportunities for select guests to enjoy the parks a little later. The biggest advantage of a deluxe stay is Extended Evening Hours. While Early Theme Park Entry is included for all onsite Guests, Extended Evening Hours are only for deluxe and deluxe villa Guests.
This “event” gives you extra time in the park after the normal operating hours have ended. Enjoy low wait times and low crowds! These will soon return to Disney’s Hollywood Studios this fall for select dates.
Guests can also enjoy later hours at Disney’s Hollywood Studios with the special ticketed event, Jollywood Nights. These are great opportunities to enjoy the neon lights of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but guests will not have much luck on one date this fall.
Date to Avoid
Guests hoping to enjoy the parks in the evening hours this October will need to be aware of current park hours. On Tuesday, October 17, 2023, Disney’s Hollywood Studios will close quite a bit earlier than expected.
On this date, the park will close to guests at 5:00 pm. Unfortunately, this isn’t great news for guests at Magic Kingdom either. Due to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, park hours end at 6:00 pm for non-party guests.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom typically closes earlier than other parks. On October 17th, it closes at 7:00 pm. This means that only EPCOT will be open the longest to guests while they plan to close at 9:00 pm on this date.
Parks are set to close early on October 17th.
Disney has not announced why Disney’s Hollywood Studios will close early on this date. You may want to keep this date in mind if you are visiting Walt Disney World this October.
