Previously we shared that Bob Iger was shocked by the overall increase in park prices. According to Wall Street Journal, “Mr. Iger was alarmed by increases in prices at Disney theme parks that Mr. Chapek argued would boost revenue and limit overcrowding.”

This summer, Disney released special new seasonal ticket offers such as the great 4-Day Ticket offer and discounts for guests to enjoy special shows. This new offer allows Florida residents can now purchase the Disney 2-Park Explorer ticket to enjoy EPCOT and Disney’s Animal Kingdom for just $159 (plus tax). This is an AMAZING discount! This is only valid for one theme park per day, but these tickets do not have to be used consecutively. Florida residents can even extend this special offer by adding the Water Park and Sports option for just $35 more per ticket.

This looks like a pretty good deal. I agree with Iger that the park admission increases were / are aggressive. But I don't believe for a second that Iger was shocked by them and was not aware of such a large percent increase over the previous park admission prices. This is just one more thing that Iger can blame on Chapek, and pretend that he didn't know about.
