The 2023 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival starts today! From July 27 to November 18, guests can take a culinary tour across six continents at this celebration of cuisine from around the world. You can see all the fabulous Food & Wine Festival Merchandise HERE.
From delectable Global Marketplaces and fresh new merch to nightly live entertainment, there’s so much for guests of all ages to enjoy. As more details emerge about the event, a few changes are taking place. For example, the famous BeaverTails are actually NOT returning to Epcot.
Brew-Wing
Don your lab coats and prepare to experiment with delicious flavors as Brew-Wing Lab at the Odyssey invites guests on a flavorful adventure, featuring the culinary creations – and madcap mishaps – of Muppet Labs!
You’ll have a chance to sample some of their kooky concoctions like the Unnecessarily Spicy, Yet Extremely Tasty Scotch Bonnet Pepper-Curry Wings, or the Pickle Milkshake. Consider it a flavor experiment in the name of science!

Disappointing Change
We first reported HERE that Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and his faithful assistant, Beaker, of Muppet Labs will welcome you to their taste-testing headquarters, where the inventive duo are busy creating scientific snacks and mind-blowing beverages.
However, we were left disappointed that Disney has since updated the original statement to read that Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker are appearing via VIDEOS – not in person.

What We Love Here
First, look at the fun costume theming of the cast members. They’re really getting in the lab spirit! And below, you can see some of the fun Muppets theming.
It seems like everywhere you look here you can find something to smile about with delightfully quirky signs and sayings.
Something is Missing
During EPCOT’s Festival of the Arts, the Odyssey featured Figment. Here, you could find Figment treats and sips along with so many fun things.
While we like the Muppets theming here, during EPCOT’s Festival of the Arts, there were interactive elements that brought this space to life. Without them here now, it feels like something is missing. Guests could even experience part of the original Figment ride!
Interactive elements would make this space so much more enjoyable!
