Special Filming

At various times throughout the year, guests can see special filming take place while visiting Disney Parks. One of the most routine is for special holiday specials. A lot of preparation goes into these specials because there are parades, celebrity performances, and more. Filming takes place at both Disney World and Disneyland.

There is also filming for special events such as military flyovers and special Disney announcements with Disney+ Day and also for updates on Disney’s newest attractions.

Celebrations at Magic Kingdom

In honor of the Fourth of July, Good Morning America is visiting main streets around the country “that keep the American spirit alive.” Today they ended this segment at Main Street, USA, in Walt Disney World to honor a very special Cast Member.

This morning, Diana Shephard-Martin put on her name tag every other day to serve as the Magic Kingdom Coordinator, Park Arrival Team. If you have visited Magic Kingdom over the past twenty years, you have possibly been greeted by this extraordinary Cast Member.

Diana shares that she likes to “set guest’s day off in the correct way.” She shares that there may be many things that she can’t control for guests with heat and rain, but she can help guests feel that there are people “guests can trust to have the most magical day that they have had in their entire lives.”

Diana and her family will be honored as the Grand Marshall for the Festival of Fantasy Parade today. This is such a special honor for a truly remarkable Cast Member.
