A Disney World Resort Service is Ending

Disney World offers many great resort offerings. We have an update for one of them.

There are so many great services and benefits that Disney World offers its guests. From early theme park entry and free parking to even discounted MagicBands, Disney World resort guests have some great perks to look forward to.

We saw many of these shift and even disappear when the parks reopened in July 2020. Even though we are close to three years post-reopening, Disney still eliminates or changes services depending on several factors like cost and guest satisfaction.

One such service is floral and gift delivery. Basically, guests can pre-order various items and they will be waiting in the room upon arrival.

Beginning August 27, 2023, Disney World will transition its floral & gifts operations to a new Central Florida third-party vendor. As a result, guests will not have the option to add floral, gifts and other related Disney Resort hotel in-room amenities to Walt Disney Travel Company packages.

These amenities can continue to be added to Walt Disney Travel Company packages that will be fulfilled on or before August 26. Any guest orders that have been placed through Disney Floral & Gifts of August 27 or later will be fully refunded, and should appear on accounts in the coming days.

If you are interested in placing a new order for August 27 or later, check back then to learn more about how to place an order through a new vendor option, Florida Fresh Floral.

Did you ever use Disney World's floral and gift delivery? Are you sad to see it shifted to a third-party vendor? Let us know in the comments below. Also, feel free to pass this post along to someone who could use the information!

  1. Disney is magical all right. Your money is disappearing like magic and so are all the reasons that keep people coming back year after year.

  2. What a Shame! They are removing the “Magic” from Disney …Glad I had my trip when “Disney was Really Disney”…
    See ya when “Disney” returns….

  3. For a place that use to be family oriented and safe to bring children. I would say shut it down but unfortunately people do not see beyond the big Mickey Mouse ears and all the Princess sparkles.

  4. I didn't even know this service existed. But what I truly miss is the godsend of being able to buy merchandise at the parks and have it sent to your resort. That and the magical express I dearly wish would come back.

  5. Disney lost its magic. We were there for our 50th anniversary 2 yrs ago. And my daughters sent us gifts to our room . Reception called our room to let’s us know we have a gift and they would bring it to our room. They were great . Now the thrill is gone. Greedy Co.

  6. One more extra 'magical' being taken away.
There are fewer reasons for going to WDW everyday. I used to brag about & go to WDW 3 or 4 times a yr. Not anymore. I haven't renewed my annual pass since 2021 - not worth the money. Even considering selling my timeshare in Disney.

  7. I am thinking they have done away with the disney employees that do these arrangements. There was a whole division that took care of the ordered arrangements as well as the displays in the hotels.

  8. That’s sad. I liked them. I don’t guess the new place will do all the special Disney touches..will it be just another run of the mill florist?
