Busy Travel Season

It is going to be a busy summer travel season. Travel was definitely up during spring break. Orlando International Airport put out several notices, alerting passengers that crowds would be HEAVY!

We previously shared that MCO (Orlando International Airport) had broken a record, on March 11, 2023. They welcomed 95,287 departing travelers. Read all the details HERE.

With all these summer travel plans, it’s important to have an airline that cares about you. The votes are in to see who ranked the best for customer service.

J.D. Power Survey

J.D. Power held a survey that was held from March 2022 through March 2023. This survey included things such as policies on baggage, check-in, cost and fees, in-flight services, aircraft that was flown, boarding, reservations and flight crew.

You might not believe who came in at the NUMBER ONE spot!

Southwest Voted Number One

Believe it or not, Southwest earned the top spot in customer satisfaction for basic and economy. They have now won this for the second year in a row!

Southwest is ranked number one for customer satisfaction for basic and comedy airfare by J.D. Power survey.

Delta and JetBlue came in the second and third place spots. Are you surprised by this?

I (Heather) was a little surprised by this as just days before Christmas, the Orlando Airport experienced dozens of cancellations and hundreds of delays. Those numbers only got worse because of one airline: Southwest.

Personally, I fly Southwest every time I fly and have good experiences even when I had flights canceled. However, with the holiday meltdown they had, I was expecting many people to jump to another airline.

Maybe it’s the fact that people appreciate them stepping up and admitting their errors and making improvements, they have affordable airfare, or maybe that they will be updating their planes soon.

What do you think about Southwest ranking number one in customer satisfaction? Are you surprised? Let us know in the comments below and share this post with a friend!

I have basically switched to American a few years ago as Southwest does not have direct flights from Philadelphia to Orlando. But now have all these miles to use....

I am quite surprised by this with all the troubles southwest has had in the past couple of years.
