Characters at Walt Disney World
Meeting characters is one of the true parts of a Disney World vacation that make it unique. No Disney World vacation would feel quite the same without seeing all of the fun characters.
At times, guests can enjoy rare characters for a limited time such as during Earth Day celebrations and for runDisney events. Earlier we shared a new meet and greet with Ariel from the new live-action film debuting soon.
After the 50th Anniversary ended, Mickey and his pals have an updated look over at EPCOT. At Magic Kingdom, Mirabel will be greeting guests soon in a reimagined location. There are constant changes to Disney Characters at the Parks and now one character location is now closed.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios is in a state of transition right now. This week we shared that Pixar Place, the themed land that used to be home to Toy Story Mania before the expansion and has since become the “home” of The Incredibles, will soon reopen to guests.
This location has been vacant for quite some time; however, this location was used for special MagicShots for Disney+ Day in 2022. Soon, Pixar Place will be again open to guests with great character interactions with the Edna Mode Experience.
Soon guests can also meet Mr. and Mrs. Incredible, Frozone, and Sulley at this location. For almost a year, guests could meet Sulley over at Walt Disney Presents. This was a great character meet and greet!
Although we knew he would be joining his fellow Pixar Pals at a new location, we were unaware that yesterday, April 29, was his last day to greet guests at Walt Disney Presents.
This morning, the character interaction is now closed. Earlier we shared that a Live-Action Little Mermaid meet and greet will be coming to Walt Disney World. In late May, Ariel (live-action) will make her way over to Walt Disney Presents at Hollywood Studios. She is presumably taking over Sulley’s spot now that he will be heading over to Pixar Place.
Currently, guests will have to wait a bit to meet Sulley once again, and it will be interesting to see the transformation of Ariel at the Walt Disney Presents attraction.
The Sulley meet and greet location is now closed at Walt Disney Presents.
What do you think of this change of location for Sulley? Did you visit him at this location? How will they transform Walt Disney Presents for the new live-action Ariel? Will you plan to visit the new Pixar Place when it opens this month? Share your thoughts in the comments and share this with a fellow Disney pal.
