Disney Casting is holding auditions for parade performers. See how this can make your next trip to Walt Disney World even more magical.

When Walt Disney World reopened after the closure due to the pandemic, many things were different. One of the biggest changes was in the area of entertainment. At first only Character Cavalcades were offered in the parks and over time more entertainment has now returned.
While the parade has returned, it did return with several changes. You can read about those few changes HERE. Along with the missing members of the Festival of Fantasy Parade, the parades for specialty ticketed events such as Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and also Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party are also different.
There are fewer entertainers and characters in these parades which many guests still miss.
New Casting Call
Disney holds auditions throughout the year for various roles. There is a current casting call for Walt Disney World Parade Performers. The full audition description states: Performers must be local to the Central Florida area to be considered for these roles. We are seeking to fill seasonal roles from these auditions, which require weekly availability beginning June 2023 through January 2024.
Disney Parks Live Entertainment is seeking diverse, energetic parade performers to help bring to life roles in our parades and shows across the Walt Disney World® Resort near Orlando, FL. Parade performers will showcase our roles in various productions, including Mickey’s Boo to You Halloween Parade; Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade; and more.
We are hopeful that more characters will return this year for both of these events. What is interesting is that today Disney Auditions shared the following post on their Instagram page:
This includes photos of the Festival of Fantasy Parade and also has #FestivalOfFantasy. Parade performers are not mentioned for this parade in the audition description.
Perhaps this is the “and more” that is mentioned in the description. This could simply be a mistake, but we are hopeful that perhaps more performers may soon be added to the Festival of Fantasy parade.
