Disney is once again offering amazing deals on theme park tickets for eligible military personnel! You can choose between a 4 day or 5 day ticket. In 2020, there was a 6-day ticket offered, but that was not part of the 2021 or 2022 packages. It’s safe to say that probably won’t return in the future.

These tickets can be purchased through Shades of Green, even if you are not staying there. Additionally, they can also be purchased through your local base. Both places will verify you are eligible to purchase. Purchasing on a military base or Shades of Green means you will not have to pay tax!

Up to 6 tickets may be purchased. In addition to theme park tickets, you must have Park Pass reservations for each day you plan to visit.

For the 5 day ticket, you can purchase the park hopper option for $369. Or, you can buy the park hopper plus option for $399. Both of these prices for 2023 are $20 more than current 2022 pricing. This option can be used for travel through December 15, 2022.

Busy spring break dates are not available to use with these tickets. This year, that is April 2 to April 15, 2023.

In addition, Guests using these tickets cannot visit during the busy Thanksgiving holiday. This year, that is November 19 to November 25, 2023. Of course, the last two weeks of the year are also blacked out as the last day to use these tickets is December 15, 2023.

In comparison, there were no blackout dates in 2022.

We were scheduled to go to Disney over our grandchildren's spring break, however, after receiving the news of the Military Blackout Dates over that time period (April 1 - April 15, 2023) for Disney World, we canceled our whole trip. I'm thoroughly disgusted with Disney. It used to be about the magic and now it's about the money.

I'm sorry. I also had plans to visit for spring break (either the last week of March or the first week of April because my kids get two weeks off), but the new blackout dates completely eliminate 1 week. We are thinking about going elsewhere instead as well.

I think the price increases are wonderful. Like this only the upper middle class and up will be able to go to Disney. Screw the riff raff like me and my family. Good job Bob Paycheck!
