Holiday Taping
Every year Disney hosts various festive holiday specials on television. They are a great way to bring some Disney Magic into your home during these special dates. A lot of preparation goes into these specials because there are parades, celebrity performances, and more. Filming takes place at both Disney World and Disneyland.
Originally, holiday filming was scheduled for November 11th through November 13th. These dates were to film “The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration.” To prepare for this, many entertainment options were altered for this filming and higher crowds are anticipated.
Taping Cancelled
Then, yesterday Disney announced that holiday filming was cancelled for these dates. With Hurricane Nicole hitting Florida, the parks and resorts are were not operating on a modified schedule. The parks closed early on November 9 and did not reopen until 12:00 pm yesterday.
Filming Update
If you are hoping to pass by this special event during your visit to Magic Kingdom, then you may be in luck. Just a day after cancelling taping, it’s back on! Now, filming takes place November 12 and 13.
The television specials air on ABC, Disney+, and Hulu in November and December. Filming takes place from 10:00am until 1:00pm. Catch the show at the stage in front of Cinderella Castle. There will be multiple performers!
