With the busy holiday season beginning in just a few weeks, Disney seeks to ramp up entertainment options for Guests. See the new showtimes for Festival of Fantasy.
Busy Holiday Season
The holiday season begins on November 8 this year. It is when Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party begins at Magic Kingdom and when festivities start at the other theme parks (minus Epcot which hosts Food and Wine for a few more weeks).
With the holidays comes the crowds. The start of the holidays coincides with Jersey Week. Crowds will cool down a bit before Thanksgiving with the week of Thanksgiving increasing in crowd levels. The first half of December is usually a great time to visit, but it will still be busy. The second of December really picks up with the week between Christmas and New Year one of the busiest weeks of the entire year.
Festival of Fantasy Parade
Magic Kingdom’s daytime parade, Festival of Fantasy is back! It did not resume with the reopening of Disney Parks in July 2020. While cavalcades replaced the parade, it appears both will now entertain Guests visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth. It currently runs once a day.
While the parade has returned, it did return with several changes. You can read about those few changes HERE. Though there are a few changes to the parade, we are all delighted to see that Maleficent the Dragon is back!
New Showtimes
Since the busy summer season ended, Festival of Fantasy reduced showtimes to only once a day. Now, Disney is ramping entertainment back up for the crowds. Here is a look at the schedule for November into December.
- November 8-11: 12:00 pm and 3:00 pm
- November 12-13: back down to one showtime at 2:00 pm
- November 14-December 3: 12:00 pm and 3:00 pm
So far, the calendar only goes to December 3. We assume the twice daily performances will continue throughout December.
