Disneyland will change into The Merriest Place on Earth as it kicks off their holiday season from November 11, 2022 to January 8, 2023. Plenty of fun holiday offerings will take place this year, including plenty of holiday decorations, “it’s a small world” holiday overlay, the “Disney ¡Viva Navidad!” street party, and plenty of food and beverage offerings.

Over at Disneyland California Adventure Park, guests can see the World of Color – Season of Light and the Disney Festival of Holidays. Guests can also see “Mickey’s Happy Holidays” parade which features your favorite Disney and Pixar characters dancing along to holiday tunes with the Holiday Toy Drummers.

Disneyland park will also be adorned with festive holiday décor, including the iconic 60-foot-tall Christmas tree on Main Street, U.S.A. Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle will enchant from day to night with shimmering icicles and twinkling lights.

Anna, Elsa and Olaf from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Frozen,” along with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Santa and many other friends will celebrate the season in “A Christmas Fantasy Parade”, a daily musical procession of floats, marching toy soldiers, dancing gingerbread cookies and more.

In the evenings, the festivities will continue with the “Believe… in Holiday Magic” fireworks spectacular, which features magical “snowfall” and colorful projections on Main Street, U.S.A., and the façade of “it’s a small world.” Families will also be able to dance along with characters such as Goofy, Pluto, Chip ‘n’ Dale and others during nightly holiday dance parties at the Tomorrowland Terrace.

Two holiday overlays will also return including “it’s a small world” Holiday and the Haunted Mansion overlay. In order to prepare for these special overlays, Disney must close down attractions for a short period of time.

“it’s a small world” will close at Disneyland beginning October 24th and reopen to guests on November 11th

To prepare for the holiday overlay for “it’s a small world”, it will close October 24th and open to guests on November 11th just in time to start the holiday celebration!
