Check out new details on Zootopia themed land coming to this Disney theme park

Disney just released amazing details on Zootopia Land with a new major attraction. Take a look at the progress and pictures here.

Zootopia Land

Guests will be invited to experience the animal filled Zootopia metropolis “where anyone can be anything.” Here, a new major attraction will incorporate Disney storytelling and state-of-the-art technology to bring these popular furry characters to life.

Not only that, but guests will also enjoy entertainment, merchandise, and food and beverage offerings in this new land. This will be the first time Zootopia is represented in a Disney theme park other than character sightings and meetings.

Construction

Construction began on this land in 2020. Disney’s first Zootopia themed-land is currently under construction in Fantasyland behind Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. It features a major new attraction. This attraction is coming soon to Shanghai Disneyland. However, there are rumors that it may come to Disney World also.

The rapid rate of expansion at Shanghai Disney Resort demonstrates our confidence and commitment to the company’s future development in China. As the first-ever themed land of its kind, Zootopia will be unique to Shanghai Disneyland and will feature a new major attraction that seamlessly blends Disney’s storytelling and state-of-the-art technologies in order to bring this fan favorite movie and its characters to life.

Ride Details

During Destination D23, Disney gave guests a look at an animatronic and character that will be incorporated in the ride. Take a look at the polar bear Kevin statue in the picture above.

The Audio-Animatronics shown above is of Yax who owns the naturalist Mystic Spring Oasis club in Zootopia. This yak also helps Judy Hopps solve her cases.

Next, take a look at the newly designed ride vehicle shown. It looks similar to the Dinosaur ride vehicles at Disney World.
