The hottest attraction in all of Disney World right now is Rise of the Resistance. 2.5 years after opening, it still consistently draws lines of 2 hours or more. With no virtual queue, you have a few options for riding. The first is to wait in the standby line. Your best chance of riding in less than an hour is by using Early Entry or getting in line right before closing.

The second option is to pay to ride. You can opt-out of the standby line using the Individual Lightning Lane option and ride with a confirmed return time. Guests hoping to purchase an Individual Lightning Lane must be prepared to make this selection right at 7:00 am. Typically these Individual Lightning Lanes sell our quickly.

Yesterday, August 28th, guests experienced a very interesting change that we hope may become a new trend.

On August 28th, guests visiting Walt Disney World noticed that they could purchase an Individual Lightning Lane the entire day yesterday until 8:30 pm. We were amazed when we looked over the data collected by thrill-data.com. According to this graph, it appears that this may be a common trend.

It appears that guests visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios on Saturday, August 27th were able to purchase Individual Lightning Lanes until 2:30 pm with a return time of 8:30 pm. Today, August 29th, guests are still enjoying extended opportunities to purchase an Individual Lightning Lane for Rise of the Resistance.

At the time of this writing (August 29th at 2:30 pm), Individual Lightning Lane is still available for Rise of the Resistance. This will allow guests to enjoy this attraction for $15 each with a return time at 7:40 pm.

This is a very interesting trend for this highly sought-after attraction. We hope that this may become a new trend to allow more guests to enjoy this attraction.

Can someone explain (again) why Disney will not bring back the fast pass option?

I wonder if they just increased the number of LL+ they sell. This brings Disney more revenue, and increases the time of the standby line, which also helps boost LL+ sales. I don’t see this as a good thing at all.

This week is incredibly slow. Wait times are very low so we think it's just availability vs Disney adding more.

Yes, its is a tough bill to swallow for families. Although I wont let $60 stop my family from having the best time possible when I've already paid for hotels, dinners, park entry, gas and hours of driving. Still, it would be nice to not be hit with this cost. Perhaps after the paid queue continues to die down a bit they can give us family guys a break and reduce the cost to $10 or even $5 per ticket. Dare to dream!

A lot of other people did, though, causing it to sell out early. Lately, it hasn’t. That’s the news.

I don’t care if I CAN purchase it until close, I will not be paying $60 for my family of four to ride an individual ride! That kind of ticketing used to be reserved for roadside go carts and mini fairs in beach towns. Missing pre-Covid Disney everyday! Can’t believe our APs expired 14 months ago now.
