Warning: Hackers have gotten into official Disney accounts and posted some very inappropriate and concerning information.

Disney Social Media Accounts

Like most other companies, The Walt Disney Company has many social media accounts on various platforms. Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, shopDisney, Walt Disney Studios all have their own social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

It is great marketing for the company to relay information and products in a world that primarily uses social media to obtain information. Unfortunately, that also means hackers with bad intentions are always lurking around.

Hacked

Hackers have gotten into the official Disneyland account this morning, July 7. The first post went up at approximately 6:45 am Eastern Time on Instagram. Three posts and two stories with graphic content are currently still displayed. Due to the nature of such content, we will not share screenshots or text of what these posts say.

It appears at this time Disneyland has either not realized accounts were hacked or are actively trying to restore ownership but cannot.

Moving over to Facebook, a single story with only one picture and no text was posted around the same time as the first Instagram posting. There is no text and has since been removed. Right now, hackers are not posting anything else on Facebook.

At this time I see nothing on Disneyland’s official Twitter account. Again, due to the nature of the content we will not reshare what was posted.

Hopefully Disney is able to resolve the situation soon and get back to posting magical content.
