Disney+ is home to a wide variety of films, television shows, and documentaries. Everything from Disney Junior to Star Wars to National Geographic can be found on the streaming service.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe also calls Disney+ home, and there is a lot of content to look forward to. At the end of 2020, we got our first taste of the I am Groot series. However, the only information we had was that a series was in production.

Back in November of 2021, Disney shared all the series that are in production for Marvel. At that time we learned a little more. A series of original shorts exploring Baby Groot’s glory days growing up, and getting into trouble, among the stars.

I Am Groot is directed by executive producer Kirsten Lepore.

This morning, Marvel Studios shared a bit more information and a new poster! This feels like a long time in the making, and we are nearing the debut!

According to Marvel, I am Groot will air exclusively on Disney+ on August 10, 2022. Oftentimes, Disney+ will air one episode per week, so that may be the case for the shorts as well.

Not only do we have a debut date, but we also have a brand new poster! I am getting some relaxed summer vibes from the poster. Groot is laid back, listening to music, and enjoying some juice. Check it out above.
