Fans and Guests looking to experience all of the new attraction are met with disappointing changes.

Disney’s newest attraction at Epcot actually takes us back in time and across the cosmos to save the galaxy! This family-friendly (yet thrilling!) coaster is not found at any other theme park in the entire world! Plus, it is also the first-ever reverse launch coaster at Disney.

Dare I say it’s even more exciting?! Yes, Imagineers really went above and beyond by making the ride vehicles rotate 360 degrees so you can experience all the action around you. It is also one of the largest fully-enclosed coasters in the entire world.

You can absolutely see why Cosmic Rewind will be the headliner at Epcot. The attraction will be in high demand for several months as Guests and fans of the franchise flock to Disney to experience it.

You can see Susan’s full guide to the attraction HERE.

Guests will still enter the entire queue – either through the Lightning Lane with ILLS or the standby line with a boarding group. Unfortunately, after entering the queue is where things have been wonky for the past two days.

Instead of watching the two pre-shows for the attraction, Cast Members lead Guests through an alternate exit where they walk down a plain hallway and then reach the load area. The attraction has only been open for 8 days, and there has been no pre-shows for the past two days.

Now, if you have been trying to avoid spoilers you may not even know there are pre-shows! However, these shows do set up the plot of the attraction and not having them is surely disappointing for people who are likely experiencing it for the very first time.

I (Monica) am especially hopeful the pre-shows come back because I visit Epcot this week and hope to ride! We are unsure what the issue is or when it may be resolved.

I rode it twice on June 2 and twice again yesterday June 4 and saw the pre shows every time.

I was at Epcot on May 29 and tried to join the queue. The queue opened at 7 am for guests staying in Disney Resorts. Since I was not staying at a Disney resort, I had to wait until in the park at 7:30 am (I was at a Disney Springs hotel that got early admission) but all the boarding groups were full, so I had to wait until the 2nd chance to join the queue at 1 pm. I had refreshed the app and was ready to go and hit the button as soon as it was 1 pm. I immediately got a message that all the boarding groups were full. The woman standing next to me said "I got it! This is the 3rd time I've been able to ride it!" How can 1 person get it 3 times and some one else who is only in Epcot one day had no chance? She had the newest iPhone and my phone is a two-year-old Android, maybe the speed of your phone matters?

Glad to hear it’s back already! We had confirmation from separate sources that the shows were not part of the experience for those two days.
