The 50th Anniversary celebrations at Walt Disney World are well underway. There is so much to enjoy at this golden celebration, and there is one surprisingly delicious cupcake you definitely need to try.
50th Anniversary Celebration
The 50th Anniversary celebrations started on October 1, 2021. This is such a big celebration that it could not simply be for one day or even for one year for that matter. Guests will be able to celebrate this golden anniversary for a full 18 months. From statues and food to new parties and cavalcades, this 18 month celebration is just getting started.
At the start of the New Year, Walt Disney World held a vote for the newest group of 50th Anniversary snacks for Guests to enjoy. Disney’s Instagram followers vote were able to vote on the treat or dish they want to see next. At the end, voters definitely chose sweet over savory.
You can check out a full listing of all of these new snacks and treats HERE. These snacks and treats debuted in the Magic Kingdom on January 10th. Additionally, they replaced many of the original 50th anniversary snacks and treats that debuted on October 1st.
One cupcake that has been available to Guests since the beginning of this golden celebration is the Werther’s Original 50th Celebration Caramel Cupcake at Caramel-Kuche in EPCOT.
50th Celebration Caramel Cupcake
The 50th Celebration Caramel Cupcake may be ordered throughout the mobile order app or by waiting in line at Karamell-Kuche in EPCOT. Mobile ordering is very effective at this location as it often has a long line of Guests. I (Donna) have tried many cupcakes at Walt Disney World. My experience has been that many cupcakes are almost too exquisite to eat. They look fantastic in photos but are lackluster in flavor.
The 50th Celebration Karamell Cupcake may be ordered throughout the mobile order app or by waiting in line at Caramel-Kuche in EPCOT for $5.50.
I am happy to share that not only is the 50th Celebration Caramel Cupcake beautiful, but it is also very delicious. The actual chocolate cupcake was tasted so amazing. Topped with a buttercream frosting and drizzled with the decadent Wether’s original caramel, it was everything that a cupcake should be.
The 50th Celebration Caramel Cupcake is large enough to share, but so delicious that you may want to keep it all for yourself. At $5.50 this beautiful and delicious cupcake was truly worth every penny. We hope this treat will be available though the entire celebration.
