The International Festival of the Arts at EPCOT begins January 14, 2022 and runs through February 21, 2022. This festival has just a little bit of everything, including, art, food menus and entertainment.

Guests will also want to be sure to check out other colorful cuisine offered, and you don’t want to miss the return of the Disney on Broadway Concert Series! For a full lineup of the artists performing, check out this post HERE.

The Donut Box

The Donut Box is located near the exit of Test Track. This year the menu included 3 donuts and 2 beverage options with alcohol. We tried both the Vanilla Donut and the Chocolate-dipped Donut.

Both donuts pictured on the menu were exquisite. We were hoping that they would taste just as good as they appeared. One was the obvious winner, while the other was a bit disappointing.

The Chocolate-dipped Donut is a new menu item for the Festival of the Arts. The menu states that it has “black and gold sugar sprinkles and chocolate buttercream.” Many of the food items offered at the Festival food booths are rather small for the price, but this donut was quite large and cost $5.00.

This donut did look very much like the photo displayed on the menu with the exception of the decorative golden wafer that was pictured in the center of the butter cream. I (Donna) tried this donut and found the outer edges to be a bit hard. Once I made my way into the center of the donut, it was truly delicious.

The Chocolate-dipped Donut was HUGE and had a great flavor with the chocolate buttercream.

The buttercream was absolutely yummy without being overly sweet, in my opinion. This buttercream paired nicely with the donut. I was worried that the sprinkles would be too much. They did not take away from the flavor of the donut and buttercream.

I would definitely eat this donut again. Hopefully this flavor will return at future festivals as well.

Vanilla Donut

The most expensive item at The Donut Box was the Vanilla Donut for the price of $5.50. This item is featured in the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine. The Vanilla Donut features “strawberry sugar, strawberry ice cream, fresh strawberries, and strawberry gel.” Susan tried the Vanilla Donut as she made her Wonderful Walk around the Festival of the Arts.

On the menu, this donut looked gorgeous and quite large. In actuality, this dish was disappointing. The donut was miniature in size, and it was garnished with very few strawberries and a small sampling of the strawberry sorbet.

The Vanilla Donut was quite disappointing in both size and flavor.

In Susan’s opinion, the vanilla donut was fresh, but the vanilla sugar coating made it too sweet. The strawberry sorbet was delicious and quite refreshing but was disappointingly small. Those Guests wishing to complete the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine will need to order this dish, but in our opinion it is not worth the price.
