Slowly we are starting to see the return of many character “sightings” popping up all over Walt Disney World! You are going to be so excited to see the fun character returning to Disney’s Animal Kingdom very soon!
Character Sightings
Since the Disney Parks closed in 2020, the Disney magic has been reimagined in many ways. We first saw characters return to the Parks in cavalcades, magical little “mini-parades” where our favorite characters unexpectedly popped up on the streets and waterways of Walt Disney World.
Next we started to see characters at a distance at “pop-up” character locations. These could be found throughout Walt Disney World, but due to the distance it was still difficult to interact with them. The best you could get was a distanced “selfie” as you shouted to your favorites.
Back in November, Disney announced that many characters would be returning for “Character Sightings.” These distanced meet and greets occur throughout the Parks, and allow an opportunity for interaction and a photo or two.
We were so excited to recently learn Olaf would be returning for warm “air” hugs in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Stitch is back causing mischief at Typhoon Lagoon!
Another character returns
Another character is returning to Disney World, and this time you can catch her at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
Kevin from Disney Pixar’s “Up!” will be making her return to Animal Kingdom later this month!
Beginning on January 24, 2022, you can catch Kevin by the Character Landing on Discovery Island in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Disney Guests LOVE to spot Kevin moving around Animal Kingdom! This character sighting is sure to be so much fun, so be sure to be on the lookout for Kevin!
