Entertainment Returned
Since reopening the Disneyland Resort earlier this year, guests have enjoyed many fan-favorite entertainment experiences. For the young and young at heart, there’s something for everyone! Holiday Offerings
Last year, Disney fans missed so many holiday events. However, this year that’s changed! At Disney World, guests once again enjoy the Very Merriest After Hours Event. Even though it comes with a hefty price tag, all of the parties are sold out!
Then, during the holidays at Disneyland, guests enjoy “A Christmas Fantasy” parade and “Believe…In Holiday Magic” fireworks at Disneyland park. Also during the holidays, check out the “Disney ¡Viva Navidad!” street party and “Mickey’s Happy Holidays” over at Disney California Adventure park. Entertainment Returning
Now, Disney announces even more entertainment will be returning to the Disneyland Resort in 2022! An expanded “Celebrate Gospel!” musical celebration will come to Disneyland park, “Tale of the Lion King” will return, and nighttime spectaculars return to both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. Celebrate Gospel!
Disneyland Resort will once again celebrate the soulful spirit of Gospel music! In 2022, “Celebrate Gospel!” will expand and feature live choir performances. Located in a new location, check out Fantasyland Theater at Disneyland park to take in performances.
This wonderful show begins select days in February.
“Tale of the Lion King”
This spring, guests will flock to the Fantasyland Theater at Disneyland park. Here, guests are thrilled with the “Tale of the Lion King,” It’s an creative adaptation of Disney’s hit movie “The Lion King.” Since debuting in 2019 at Disney California Adventure park, this show has been wildly popular. “Tale of the Lion King” is performed by the Storytellers of the Pride Lands and various traveling performers. Also, guests tag long on Simba’s journey in a unique story-theater style show. There’s lots of singing and dancing here!
This spring, guests will flock to the Fantasyland Theater at Disneyland park for “The Lion King”.
Main Street Electrical Parade
In addition, the “Main Street Electrical Parade” makes its return to Disneyland park! This spectacular pageant of nighttime magic and imagination will be led by the iconic train and drum unit featuring Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Goofy. Guests are blown away by the stunning light show. At the parade, be on the lookout for guest favorite characters including Elliot the Dragon, “Alice in Wonderland,” “Cinderella,” and “Peter Pan.”
Fantasmic
Disney’s longest-running nighttime spectacular is an emotional, energy-filled spectacular featuring one-of-a- king colorful Disney animated film images. In addition, the musical score has kept guests singing for 30 years. The Rivers of America come alive as Mickey Mouse’s imagination creates fantastic and magical events. Disney classic films such as “Fantasia,” “The Jungle Book,” and “The Little Mermaid” are fan favorites of the classic Disney show.

World of Color
Also, guests will once again gather around Paradise Bay at Disney California Adventure park. This spring, look forward to enjoying the “World of Color” show. This show combines music, fire, fog and laser effects, along with Disney animation projected on the water.
Disney and Pixar films are featured with an amazing soundtrack.
Disneyland Forever Fireworks
“Disneyland Forever’s” sky-high celebration filled with sparkling pyrotechnics and immersive projections returns to Disneyland soon. In this spectacular, guests enjoy surprising special effects in addition to fireworks. In this show, look out for “Peter Pan” flying above London, King Louie dancing to “The Jungle Book.” In this show, two original songs, “Live the Magic” and the closing song “Kiss Goodnight,” were written by Disney Legend Richard Sherman.
