New Disney Magic Shots for Disney’s 50th Anniversary

Happy 50th Walt Disney World

The big day has finally come! Walt Disney World is 50! October 1st was an exciting day indeed as Walt Disney World kicked off their anniversary celebration.

To read about how opening day was, take a look at this post HERE. The day was filled with the debut of new EAR-idescent costumes for characters, new character cavalcades and the debut of Disney’s Enchantment and Harmonious over at EPCOT.

Disney Magic Shots

Disney has definitely not let any detail go unnoticed to mark their anniversary, which is one of the things that sets Disney apart.

Not only are we seeing new food and entertainment offerings, but they have given us some fun new Magic Shots as well!

You will see that there are several new Magic Shots available. One has the EAR-idescent 50th anniversary balloons, picture above.

There is also this fun Magic Shot that features confetti in the photo. I (Maggie) love the little Mickey shapes, but do not really love this photo of myself.

Your PhotoPass photographer will instruct you to place out your hands and act like you are blowing out a candle.

Guests will also see an EAR-idescent effect added to their pictures like the picture shown above. I love the special kind of glow it adds and there are also 50th anniversary props to hold.

Complimentary Media

If you were lucky enough to visit the Magic Kingdom on the anniversary, you might have received special mementos of the occasion. However, if you could not visit, you might still be able to receive something, too!

Disney PhotoPass has added complimentary media to your photo gallery as a gift for Disney’s 50th anniversary. The media is available for 45 days from the date it has been added to the gallery.

So, hurry up and open My Disney Experience and download those pictures to use as a new wallpaper on your phone or screensaver.

Complimentary photos include pictures of the Beacons of Light from all four theme parks and several others.
