Two Central Florida parks announced expected opening dates for their new rollercoasters today! Read on for details.
There’s more to Central Florida than just Disney World and Universal. Two other parks, SeaWorld Orlando and Busch Gardens Tampa announced opening months for their upcoming coasters today!
Busch Gardens Tampa
Busch Gardens Tampa announced today that their new Iron Gwazi Coaster will open in March 2022!
They also shared a POV video! Check it out:
Did you have a Busch Gardens Tampa pass purchased on or after Sept 6th, 2019? If so, you can still access the special preview for passholders by going to this link! Yes, even if your pass has since expired.
Apparently the coaster was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic and Busch Gardens wishes to ensure that all who purchased passes with the hopes of riding Iron Gwazi get the chance!
SeaWorld
Given that they’re owned by the same parent company, it’s no surprise that the Busch Gardens and SeaWorld coasters announced opening dates at the same time!
Maybe they’re looking for a little media attention in the wake of Disney’s Genie+? See how readers are taking the Genie+ news here.
SeaWorld Orlando has lots of thrills for guests who love coasters! These coasters are not for the faint of heart!
SeaWorld announced a new partnership with the Alaska Sea Life Center to go along with the new ride. Their website states that more information is to come on exactly how the ride will help share the Alaska Sea Life Center’s mission in coming months.
SeaWorld seems to be taking a page out of Universal Orlando’s book with their twitter account! Orca’s got jokes:
This one entertained me as well. Looking for love in all the wrong places?
Are you excited to ride either coaster? Let us know in the comments over on our Facebook page.

Those coasters were supposed to open this year! We had to just look at them in June. The employees said they were ready to go but not enough employees to work them. Uggg
