There’s good news happening on the west coast, too! Disney has just release more reopening dates for some of your favorite Disneyland restaurants and two of them are confirmed to return with characters!

Disneyland Reopens

After a very lengthy closure, Disneyland opened it’s gates to eager guests on April 30, 2021. Our fellow KtP writer, Marisol, was at Disneyland on reopening day to experience all the excitement and even met Disney CEO, Bob Chapek.

Disneyland is so charming. I (Christina) had the chance to take my very first trip to Disneyland in 2018. Everything was so magical! You can follow along as I chronicle my first-time experiences in planning a trip to Disneyland and staying at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, along with more to come!

Character Dining Returns!

Two dining experiences we have been eager to return to Disneyland are the Minnie and Friends Breakfast at the Plaza Inn and Mickey’s Tales of Adventure Breakfast at the Storyteller’s Cafe.

Characters will return to Storyteller’s Cafe for breakfast and brunch on July 22nd; The Plaza Inn will open with characters on August 12th!

When I went to Disneyland, I got the chance to experience both meals and they were phenomenal. There are so many characters at the Plaza Inn and you never know who you might encounter.

Pre-pandemic, the breakfast at the Plaza Inn was served cafeteria-style and was all you care to enjoy. While no menu has been listed on the official websit, yet, we can probably expect to see a family-style meal take it’s place for the time being.

As of right now, all characters will be staying socially distanced and posing for selfies.

The Storyteller’s Cafe is equally delicious! My family visited before the characters changed to Mickey and friends, but the interaction was fantastic and the food was unique and delicious!
