As we think about 2021, things will look a bit different during your next trip to Walt Disney World. Find out where and when you may be able to spot your favorite characters around the Magic Kingdom.
We learned soon after Walt Disney World proposed their reopening plan that many Guest experiences and entertainment options would either be cancelled or modified.
This included parades, nighttime fireworks, stage shows, and character meet and greets. Even with the cancellation of character meet and greets, Disney Parks had a plan to share the magic while also following social distancing protocols.
In Magic Kingdom and in EPCOT, Guests can interact and take photos with their favorite characters as they parade through the Parks. In Disney’s Hollywood Studios, motorcades are used to allow characters to wave to Guests that line the streets of Hollywood Boulevard.
At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, flotillas are used to allow characters to greet Guests along the waterways of the Parks. During the Halloween and Christmas seasons, Guests enjoyed special holiday overlays of these great reimagined character experiences.
New Cavalcade Schedule for 2021
Now that the holiday season has come to a close, Guests have wondered what the new Character Cavalcades schedule would be. As of now, Character Cavalcades are still scheduled for the first few months of 2021.
Although I miss meeting our favorite characters in person, these Character Cavalcades are a great way to interact with characters and even take a few selfies with them.
Guests visiting the Magic Kingdom will be pleased with the “Practically Perfect” Fantasyland Friends Cavalcade that will run all days with the exception of Thursday and Friday.
This great Cavalcade is led by Gaston. Following behind Gaston is Mary Poppins, Aladdin, Alice, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, and Tigger too.
The fantasyland Cavalcade will not be available on Thursdays and fridays.
Tinker Bell & the Lost Treasure
All it takes is faith, trust, and a little bit of pixie dust.
We will all believe that we can fly as we see Tinker Bell sprinkling her magical pixie dust throughout the Magic Kingdom. Guests can find their favorite pixie along Main Street Wednesday through Sunday. Tinker Bell will take a break in Pixie Hollow on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Behind Merida, Rapunzel and Tiana greet Guests from a white gazebo previously used in the Festival of Fantasy Parade. Following behind on a mirrored float, Jasmine, Ariel, Aurora, Snow White, Elena, Belle, Cinderella and even the Fairy Godmother greet Guests.
