Well, this is a new development. The one deluxe accommodation not on the original reopening list now shows availability!
When Disney World announced its reopening, they also included a list of deluxe resorts that would be opening prior to the July 11 date.
The following are slated to reopen on June 22:
- Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
- Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
- Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village
- Disney’s Beach Club Villas
- Disney’s BoardWalk Villas
- Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground
- Disney’s Old Key West Resort
- Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows
- Disney’s Riviera Resort
- Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort
- The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Which Resort Was Not Included?
Did you notice there was a resort not on that list?
Yes, Jambo House at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas is noticeably absent. Kidani Village is available, though. Some speculated it wasn’t available because it’s smaller.
However, now availability is open for new reservations at Jambo House. Check out the availability on the DVC website:
Jambo House is 6 floors, but only the 5th and 6th floor is DVC.

Did you know Jambo House and Kidani Village are actually two separate resorts inside the larger resort? They are two separate buildings and actually have different savannas!
At publication, the Disney World website has not updated the fact that Jambo House is now available. We are unsure if this is a glitch or if the website just hasn’t updated yet.
Either way, if you are wanting to stay at Jambo House, now is your chance!

I noticed this morning that there was suddenly availability for Jambo even though they called me yesterday to move my June reservation to Kidani. I called dvc member services to verify and they said they still have no current plans to reopen Jambo house. I guess they are just adding to the lengthy list of calls they will have to make to move people to other resorts.
