New details were released today about this new parade that will debut at Disneyland Park on February 28th. This parade will feature stunning floats, beloved Disney characters who haven’t been represented much in the parks before, and amazing costumes and music. This parade will be an amazing addition to the entertainment line-up at Disneyland Park in California!

The details released today center on the parade’s opening. The new parade will feature Mickey Mouse in a newly designed and never before seen sorcerer-inspired costume.

Mickey Mouse will lead the parade while gliding along on “glistening swirls of magic that emerge from a giant, 15 foot tall iridescent magical hat.”

Disney Parks Blog released a first look video of this stunning opening act of the new parade. Check this video out below.

The parade will open with Mickey and some of his favorite friends: Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, Pluto, and Chip ‘n Dale. Dance performers, known as “magic makers” will join this classic group. These dancers will represent aspects of “Disney magic” including beauty, strength, courage, and many more.

This parade will feature characters from films such as Cinderella, The Sword and the Stone, The Princess and the Frog, Coco, Moana, Frozen 2, and more. This parade will feature choreography and music by Todrick Hall, who is known for his high energy performance numbers.
