Raise your hand if you were sad about the ending of IllumiNATIONS: Reflections of Earth. Raise your hand if you are excited to find out the new show, called HarmonioUS, will debut next year!
IllumiNATIONS ended its run of almost 20 years on September 30, 2019 and was replaced with the temporary Epcot Forever. Epcot Forever is the current nighttime spectacular at Epcot during this transitional time when so much is changing at the park.
HarmonioUS will celebrate how the music of Disney inspires people the world over, carrying you away harmoniously on a stream of familiar Disney tunes reinterpreted by a diverse group of artists from around the globe.
HarmonioUS will feature massive floating set pieces, custom-built LED panels, choreographed moving fountains, lights, pyrotechnics, lasers and more.
It is said to be the largest nighttime spectacular ever created for a Disney park. I can’t wait to see it!
Well, now we have a time frame for when HarmonioUS will begin!
Epcot Forever will end and HarmonioUS will take over beginning in the Spring of 2020!
With new shows coming to the World Showcase and then Land Pavilion in January, Space 220 opening sometime this winter, and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure coming this summer Epcot is getting into the thick of the transformation process.
There is still so much to be done, though!
Spaceship Earth will receive a new guide and all-new narration.
World Celebration in Epcot will also feature breathtaking views at Dreamers Point, lush gardens, a wishing tree, an interactive new fountain and a new statue celebrating the legacy of the original dreamer, Walt Disney.
A new pavilion at World Celebration will be the home base for Epcot’s signature festivals, providing a stunning view of World Showcase and an ideal spot to witness the park’s nighttime spectacular. This three-level structure will have one of the most remarkable designs at any Disney park.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will add another attraction to the park, and the Marry Poppins attraction, which still doesn’t have a timeframe of completion, will debut as well.
In World Nature, The reinvention of Epcot will include Journey of Water, Inspired by “Moana.” This first-ever experience inspired by the Walt Disney Animation Studios’ hit film will let guests interact with magical, living water in a beautiful and inspiring setting.
