One Single Rider Line Is Now Officially Removed at Disney World
Oh no! Walt Disney World is officially closing this Single Rider option, and we are not happy about the change.
Single Rider Line
Single Rider lines are separate lines in select attractions for those traveling solo or those who don't mind riding the attraction without the rest of their party. Basically, single riders get placed wherever there is a seat available.
Typically, the line is much shorter than the regular standby queue, which means less time waiting in line!
Attractions at Disney World that use Single Rider access include Expedition Everest, Test Track, Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, and Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run. Occasionally, Soarin' and Rise of the Resistance offer a SinglenRider line as well.
Expedition Everest Single Rider Removed
Earlier, we shared that Guests visiting Animal Kingdom reported that there was a change at Expedition Everest. Guests in the standby queue are being pre-sorted in the final holding room.
Cast Members instruct even-numbered parties to go left and odd-numbered parties to go right in the final holding room. Unfortunately, this also means that fewer Guests in the single-rider queue are now needed.
Guests noticed that the sign directing Guests to the Single Rider queue line for Expedition Everest was missing, and it later returned. Cast Members were also close this Single Rider queue at any time during the day. Be aware that this sign may show either "open" or "not available".
Expedition Everest Single Rider Closing Date
We have heard rumors that the single-rider line will soon be removed from Expedition Everest. Now that rumor is confirmed!
Expedition Everest will no longer offer a Single Rider line on September 21, 2026.
Starting Monday, September 21, 2026, Expedition Everest will no longer offer a Single Rider line. This is disappointing for many Guests who prefer to use the Single Rider option rather than purchasing a Lightning Lane for this attraction.
