A new Indy experience is heading to Disney's Animal Kingdom. It promises to be different from any other Indiana Jones experience around the world.

In this new adventure, Indiana Jones has discovered a perfectly preserved Maya temple, and he is bringing us along to explore!

For this new attraction, Harrison Ford shares that for the first time ever, he will serve as the face model for his animatronic featured in this attraction.

Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent

Disney recently revealed the name for this new attraction: Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent. "Why did it have to be snakes?"

Disney Imagineers will blend the thrill of a classic Indiana Jones adventure with the rich cultural details that are quintessential to Animal Kingdom, a park that is dedicated to creatures both real and imagined.

The attraction takes riders on a journey alongside Indy, beneath an ancient temple ruin, showcasing Maya culture and its profound connection to nature - perfectly fitting for this park.

Big Step Forward

At Disney's Animal Kingdom, we now see a huge step forward as the Mayan pyramid takes shape.

New images are similar to the original concept art for the new Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent attraction.

According to @bioreconstruct, these newly added colorful sections were added fully detailed. It is amazing to see how closely these new sections compare to the concept art featured above. With so much of Disney's Animal Kingdom now under construction, it is great to see big progress at the new Tropical Americas.
