With the massive success of Frozen (2012) and Frozen 2 (2018), Disney is ready to continue the story. During the 2024 D23 Expo, Disney shared that Frozen 3 was pushed back a year.
Frozen 3 will have some familiar voices to look forward to! Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Jonathon Groff, and Josh Gad are all reprising their roles for Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, and Olaf.
Unfortunately, Frozen and Frozen 2 co-director Jennifer Lee has confirmed that she will not return to direct Frozen 3. She worked on the first two movies alongside Chris Buck.

Last night, August 14, 2026, was the first official night of D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. Get ready for tons of news from this event including new details for Frozen 3.
A few key details from the newest trailer shared by Disney Animation, Kristoff and Anna getting married, but this "Happily Ever After" is interrupted by a mysterious new villain dressed in black and searching for Elsa.

Frozen 3 New Songs
We have new music from this film. Last night both Idina Mendzel and Kristen Bell took the stage to sing "Frozen Heart":
Frozen 3 will be released in theaters on November 24, 2027.
It appears that even Olaf will find love in Frozen 3. Olaf catches the wedding bouquet and even has a new song "Samantha". Watch Josh Gad take the stage for this new song:
