Navigating any food allergy can be challenging and stressful especially when dining outside your home. Disney World is very accommodating to food allergies.

Previously, it was even harder to find a Disney inspired snack that could accommodate some of the top nine allergies.

My family has navigated Disney world with several food allergies. Some of our favorite places include:

Dining At Quick Service Locations

Disney has standardized their allergy protocol across many of their quick service locations. This includes stickers designated that the food has been prepared "Allergy-Friendly" according to the Guest's allergy.

Cast Members have switched to tablets versus a food reference binder to look up food ingredients as well!

Meals prepared with allergy-friendly options are also given to Guests on a purple tray. This is a clear and easily seen identifier that special precautions need to be taken with these food items.

Guests are reporting that new signage has been added at select Walt Disney World Resort Hotels designating "Allergy Request Orders Here." This can be helpful for many families that need to make allergy requests, as it is best to talk with the chef that will be preparing your food.

Previously, Guests would need to stand in line and then request to speak with a chef. This new line is specifically for allergy requests, making things a little simpler for those that need to make these requests. Guests have reported seeing this new signage at Disney's Art of Animation, All Star Movies, and Port Orleans French Quarter.

It has also been reported that after talking with a chef or manager regarding food ingredients the receipt will show "accept consult." If you use mobile order or the allergy menu without consulting with someone, it has been reported that the receipt will show "decline consult."
