Walt Disney World prides itself in honoring our military and armed forces all year long. You might have seen the flag ceremonies at Walt Disney World and Disneyland that take place each day. You can read more about those HERE. Each day, an active duty service member or veteran can participate.
Not only that, but Disney offers military discounts to veterans and their families for Walt Disney World and Disneyland. There is even a hotel on the property for families to stay in called Shades of Green.
This year is the 250th anniversary of America! And Walt Disney World is in on the celebration!
Disney Celebrates America
Disney has already rolled out special offerings to celebrate this momentous 4th of July. For example, Soarin' Around the World has a special Soarin' Across America overlay.
Guests can enjoy special treats as the Disney Parks prepare for record breaking crowds.
Now Disney has confirmed a special event for Magic Kingdom and EPCOT Guests.

On Saturday, July 4, 2026, Guests at both Magic Kingdom and EPCOT will want to look up to see the U.S. Air Force Reserve's 920th Rescue Wing fly over both parks beginning at 10:30 am.
