Disney Lakeshore Lodge
Disney Vacation Club is in the process of building Disney Lakeshore Lodge. This new resort will be in the same footprint that was planned for Reflections - A Disney Lakeside Lodge.
Disney stated that the resort is "inspired by the majesty of nature and its enduring influence on Disney artists."
Lakeshore Lodge's alleged plans include a lazy river, zero-entry design, water slides, and a splash pad. The anticipated location will leave pool guests with spectacular waterfront views. Including what is sure to be an amazing Magic Kingdom fireworks view (after the removal of some shoes to one particular tree.)
Confirmed Details!
Disney's Lakeshore Lodge will have floor-to-ceiling windows that will help this resort's design connect to the Disney's animated stories that are inspired by the great outdoors. This will include inspiration from Bambi, Pocahontas, and Brother Bear
The resort will have 967 rooms that will offer all types of accommodations from studios to large suites.
Lakeshore Lodge is expected to open Summer 2027! You can read more about that HERE.
The Wetlands
Disney has shared a first look at The Wetlands, which is an outdoor recreation area that is surrounded by Bay Lake. It will have both wet and dry play areas that are inspired by "Pocahontas".
Heron Shores will offer hands-on play with climbing features. Otter Springs will have interactive water features for little ones. The speculated lazy river has been confirmed, as the lazy Daydream River will carry Guests through the recreation area.
Lakeside Lagoon will be the resort's feature pool. It will feature a zero-entry and a spiral waterslide! The Perspective Pond will be the leisure pool and whirlpool spa. This one will feature amazing views for Magic Kingdom's fireworks.
Guests will find special plaques along the scenic path through the area sharing historic information of what once stood there.
The Wetlands is a outdoor recreation area featuring something for everyone in the family!
This resort will also offer boat transportation to Magic Kingdom, as Disney has confirmed this resort is "only a boat ride away from Magic Kingdom." Guests staying at Lakeshore Lodge will have the same amenities like other Walt Disney World Resort Hotel Guests, which include complimentary transportation across Disney World and extra time in the theme parks.
