Disney World Shares Projected Opening Timeline and More for Its Newest Resort Hotel

Disney has just shared an update on its newest resort hotel. Get the details on what this resort hotel has to offer and when you can expect it to open!

Disney Lakeshore Lodge

Disney Vacation Club is in the process of building Disney Lakeshore Lodge. This new resort will be in the same footprint that was planned for Reflections - A Disney Lakeside Lodge.

The new DVC resort is expected to open in 2027! Disney stated that the resort is "inspired by the majesty of nature and its enduring influence on Disney artists."

Lakeshore Lodge's alleged plans include a lazy river, zero-entry design, water slides, and a splash pad. The anticipated location will leave pool guests with spectacular waterfront views. Including what is sure to be an amazing Magic Kingdom fireworks view (after the removal of some shoes to one particular tree.)

More Information About Lakeshore Lodge

Disney's newest resort sits along the shores of Bay Lake, which Disney confirms will offer amazing views of Magic Kingdom fireworks. There will be floor-to-ceiling windows that will help this resort's design connect to the Disney's animated stories that are inspired by the great outdoors. This will include inspiration from Bambi, Pocahontas, and Brother Bear

The resort will have 967 rooms that will offer all types of accommodations from studios to large suites.

Disney Lakeshore Lodge will also offer new one- and two-bedroom Lake Houses that will be along the waterfront.

Expected Opening and More to Come!

Lakeshore Lodge is expected to open Summer 2027! No information has been released on when Disney Vacation Club Members or non-Members can purchase points at Lakeshore Lodge or what the price per point will be.

Disney has also shared that in the coming months, more information will be released regarding recreational offerings, design details, and even dining locations.
