Guests staying at Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resorts can experience the parks at night after everyone else has left. This is one of the many great benefits of staying at these high-tier resorts.

Typically, Epcot hosts Extended Evening Hours on Monday, and Magic Kingdom hosts Extended Evening Hours on Wednesday. This has been the case for the last few years, with a few exceptions.

This spring, this schedule is shifting quite a bit,

Extended Evening Hours will return to Disney's Animal Kingdom on Monday, May 4, 2026, and on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm(Park hours subject to change).

This shifts away from the trend of Extended Evening Hours offered at EPCOT on Mondays and Magic Kingdom on Wednesdays.

While we do love extra time to enjoy Disney's Animal Kingdom, this park offers fewer attractions for Extended Evening Hours compared to EPCOT and Magic Kingdom.

Thankfully, Walt Disney World now offers Extended Evening Hours for Disney's Hollywood Studios on Monday, May 11, 2026, from 9:00 pm until 11:00 pm.

This is another shift away from Extended Evening Hours at EPCOT. The current Extended Evening Hours schedule for May includes:

  • Monday, May 4th: Disney's Animal Kingdom
  • Wednesday, May 6th: Magic Kingdom
  • Monday, May 11th: Disney's Hollywood Studios
  • Wednesday, May 13th: Disney's Animal Kingdom

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Donna loved Disney from an early age. As a child, her family would joke that she lived in "Donna Land." As an adult, she enjoys planning and creating magical vacations for her family. She always brings a little faith, trust, and a little bit of Pixie Dust!

  1. I dislike the extra magic hour changes from Magic Kingdom to Animal Kingdom. Since there are essentially only three rides open during that time at Animal Kingdom and it won't be dark enough for Pandora to be illuminated at that time of the year, it's not really a perk for the highest paying resort guests.

    1. I agree with you Kelli. Without the animal trails and shows, it does not offer very many attractions to enjoy later in the evening.
