New Souvenir Lands for Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets

Walt Disney World wasted no time in bringing the Muppets to Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. You do not want to miss this brand new souvenir.

Disney's Hollywood Studios has undergone many changes over the yearsMuppet Vision 3D was the final major project that Jim Henson directed before he passed in 1990. It originally opened on May 16, 1991.

This film is special to many Muppet and Disney fans who have enjoyed it for several decades, and as a final masterpiece created by Jim Henson.

When Disney originally shared that the Muppet Courtyard would close to make room for a Monsters Inc.-themed land, this news was somewhat bittersweet.

Muppets Rock 'n' Roller Coaster

The Muppets Will Take Over Disney's Rock 'n' Roller Coaster

On Sunday, Rock 'n' Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith officially closed on Sunday, March 1, 2026.

The attraction building remains on the My Disney Experience app, but the iconic guitar and stretch limo at the entrance have been removed. The physical park map shows the change, "Future Home of Rock 'n' Roller Coaster starring The Muppets."

Construction walls are now surrounding Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, but there are two big reasons to visit this spot.

Thanks to @ErikandAmerica for sharing photos of the two new Muppets Rock 'n' Roller Coaster "Under Construction" pressed penny machines. There are a total of 8 new designs. You can find both machines in the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Courtyard.
