Magic Kingdom Makes Big Operational Changes This Month
Heads up if you are traveling to Disney World soon: Disney has canceled several showtimes for popular Magic Kingdom entertainment.
Cinderella Castle Refurbishment

The Disney Parks offer great attractions, but also great entertainment as well. Unfortunately, a refurbishment for Cinderella Castle at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom affects many entertainment offerings.
Last August, Disney shared that the castle will return to the classic grays, creams, and blues reminiscent of its classic look, complete with touches of gold!
Disney confirmed that the Cinderella Castle transformation will begin this month. As with previous refurbishments, this will bring unwelcome changes to Cinderella Castle.
"Let the Magic Begin" Show Canceled

The work will begin with the draining of the castle moat. While a large crane will be present for this work, Disney shares that cranes will be out of sight by noon each day.
This work will also bring changes for Cinderella Castle entertainment. Every morning the Magic Kingdom starts the day with the "Let the Magic Begin" show in front of Cinderella Castle. This is typically at 8:55 am each day.
Starting on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 there are no times listed for "Let the Magic Begin" on the Walt Disney World website. This continues through March 19, 2026, which is the last date showing on the website.
"Mickey's Magical Friendship Faire" Canceled

"Mickey's Magical Friendship Faire" delights guests throughout the day in front of Cinderella Castle.
Cinderella Castle Stage Shows change operations on Wednesday, January 28, 2026.
Starting on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 the morning showtimes are no longer available at 10:05 am, 11:05 am, and 12:40 pm. On this date only 5 showtimes will still be available, but showtimes will not begin unto 1:00 pm daily.
Interestingly, no showtimes are listed starting in February 2026. Disney may still add showtimes for "Mickey's Magical Friendship Faire" and "Let the Magic Begin" show. Continue to follow along as we share updates for Magic Kingdom entertainment.
