Two Big Changes Coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Two Big Changes Coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Disney’s Animal Kingdom keeps moving forward, and big changes follow. Check out the most recent changes that may affect your next Walt Disney World trip.

DinoLand Changes

DinoLand is about to become extinct at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. An entirely new land is on the way. Unfortunately, this new expansion also means the closures for our favorite attractions

Disney announced the final date to “Go catch that dino!” aboard DINOSAUR, but before the last adventure, guests can enjoy a special overlay for this attraction. Find out more about this change HERE.

There are only a couple of final days to enjoy Trilo-Bites and Dino-Bite Snacks at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

With The Boneyard now closed, large construction walls now line the pathway and block the main entrance into DinoLand. We are thankful that DINOSAUR is still available, but Dinsey’s Animal Kingdom looks much more like a construction zone than a themed land now.

The new construction walls also created another problem with one of our favorite meet and greets at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Goofy has been relocated several times over the last few months.

Guests looking to meet Goofy in his bird-watching outfit can now find him in Africa next to the Harambe Market. This market will soon close for refurbishment. We are hoping that Goofy may stay in the same place a little longer at this new location.

New Attraction at Animal Kingdom

The second change is a big one with “Zootopia Better Zoogether” opening on November 7, 2025, at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Disney just released the attraction poster for this new show (featured above).

Previews are well underway for this new show, along with the return of the dreaded Virtual Queue. Check out full details for previews and the new Virtual Queue HERE.
