Popular Magic Kingdom Attraction Closed Without Notice

Today, Guests at Magic Kingdom were met with an unexpected attraction closure. Find out what we know.

Refurbishment

Disney schedules refurbishments from time to time to keep things running in prime condition. This includes attractions, restaurants, pools, and even hotels. Unfortunately, these refurbishments can impact Guests' vacations as certain things may be closed or altered. 

Disney does its best to inform Guests of any upcoming closures; however, that is not always possible.

During refurbishments, Guests may see or hear construction while the work is being completed.

People Mover CLOSED

Today, Guests hoping to enjoy the Tomorrowland Transit Authority People Mover were met with disappointment. The People Mover never opened! Instead, Guests were met with construction walls at the attraction's entrance.

Construction walls have been placed around the entrance and exit of the attraction.

It is reported that the closure is due to maintenance work on the entrance and exit ramps is being completed.

What Does This Mean For You?

Fortunately, this closure isn't expected to last long. Disney has operational hours listed for the People Mover as early as tomorrow.

The Tomorrowland Transit Authority People Mover is expected to reopen tomorrow.

This is definitely a disappointment for Guests visiting today who were hoping to enjoy this attraction, but we are happy to see that this unexpected closure is brief.
