Disney Guest Dies After Losing Consciousness on Frozen Ride
A person has sadly passed away after a medical incident that occurred during a Disney trip. Here are the details surrounding the tragedy.
Tragedy in the Magic

Safety is one of Disney's Keys to Success. Guests and Cast Members alike all have a better time when everyone respects Disney's high standards for safety. After all, no one wants to worry whether the rides they are enjoying are actually safe.
Unfortunately, even the highest safety standards cannot prevent every accident, and they certainly cannot prevent medical events. Sometimes injury or even tragedy strikes at a Disney park, and not even Disney's precautions can prevent it.
Incident on Frozen Ever After Ride

According to People Magazine, one such tragedy occurred recently after a Disney Guest suddenly lost consciousness on a ride. The guest and his family were visiting Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, and the medical event happened while they were riding the Frozen Ever After ride.
The incident happened around 10:00 a.m. on August 29. Cast Members reportedly jumped into action immediately after the boat prepared to dock. They began CPR.
An ambulance promptly transported him to a hospital. Unfortunately, the man passed away at the hospital.
Important Details

It is important to prevent misinformation. The initial investigation found the loss of consciousness was not found to be related. The affected guest's family reported that he had pre-existing medical conditions.
The medical event was not linked to theme park safety issues.
It is also important to note that this event occurred at the Frozen Attraction in Hong Kong Disneyland, not the one in Epcot in Walt Disney World. Even so, it is sad any time anyone around the globe experiences tragedy like this, and our hearts are with the family.
