Strange Change for Disney's Extended Evening Hours

Extended Evening Hours

Guests staying at Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resorts can experience the parks at night after everyone else has left. This is one of the many great benefits of staying at these high-tier resorts.

Typically, Epcot hosts Extended Evening Hours on Monday, and Magic Kingdom hosts Extended Evening Hours on Wednesday. This has been the case for the last few years, with a few exceptions.

This summer, this schedule shifted quite a bit, changing Extended Evening Hours that were typically offered at Magic Kingdom to Disney's Animal Kingdom for several dates. Thankfully, Disney's Hollywood Studios will offer several Extended Evening Hour dates this fall. Check these out HERE.

Extended Evening Hours Change

While the Extended Evening Hours often shift on Wednesdays, the Extended Evening Hours offered on Monday at EPCOT remain pretty consistent.

However, this changes on Monday, October 27, 2025. Extended Evening Hours will be offered at Disney's Animal Kingdom rather than EPCOT on this date.

Extended Evening Hours are offered from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on this date. We do love extra time to enjoy Disney's Animal Kingdom, but this park offers fewer attractions for Extended Evening Hours compared to EPCOT.

Reason for the change

These new park hours are now updated on Character Locator. While we are not sure of the reason for this change, it may be caused by the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend.

Extended Evening Hours will not be offered at EPCOT on October 27, 2025

This race will affect EPCOT park hours on Sunday, October 26th, and this may also be the reason for the change to the Extended Evening Hours for EPCOT.
