Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge to Receive Room Refurbishment This Fall

Disney has just announced that Animal Kingdom Lodge will undergo a Guest room refurbishment. Find out the details and if this will impact your Disney vacation.

From time to time, Disney has scheduled refurbishments for anything from rides and restaurants to hotels. Even though we all may not like seeing or hearing construction, it is a necessary part of keeping things safe and up to date. We all want to be able to enjoy the nice new things, and refurbishments have to happen for this to occur.

When the Guest rooms are refurbished, this can include soft goods refurbishment (meaning that changes that took place surround paint, furniture, and other accent items) or a complete overhaul of the room.

Animal Kingdom Guest Room Refurbishment

Disney has just announced that a multi-month guest room refurbishment at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge - Kidani Village will begin in October of this year. This refurbishment is expected to last through May 2026.

Specific details about what the refurbishment will entail have not been announced

Refurbishment work will begin at Jambo House in May 2026 and is expected to last through January 2027.
