Disney honored the first responders who bravely fought the LA fires. Here are the details surrounding the special celebration.
Remembering the LA Fires
Fire is a terrifying reality for California residents. It has only been a few months since wildfires ravaged the LA area, causing incomprehensible damage.
The fires have devastated areas like Malibu and Pacific Palisades. They have also taken their toll on Altadena. This is a community that has served as home to many Disney Imagineers over the years.

A Hero’s Welcome
Disneyland honored the brave individuals who responded on the frontlines of the recent fires in Los Angeles with a token of appreciation. That token is the Heroes Ticket, which was made available to eligible California firefighters as well as eligible Los Angeles-based law enforcement personnel and emergency medical technicians who helped combat the LA fires in January 2025.
The use window for the special ticket began on May 5. And, with that date came a special celebration!
Cavalcade for the Heroes
Disneyland celebrated the heroes with a special Cavalcade complete with The Main Street Vehicles and characters like Pluto! Disneyland Fire Department firefighters Mark McLean and Larry Chu, along with six other local firefighters and police personnel, were among the participants. Their family members and loved ones who joined them in the park got to participate too!
Disneyland held a cavalcade in appreciation of the brave dedication and service of those who fought the LA fires.
