If you love Pixar’s Up, we have some fun news for you. Dinsey is working on an Up-themed attraction that will send guests flying.
Up at Disney Parks

If you love Up, you may have been able to find a little up-themed fun in the Disney Parks. Although the experiences are few and far between, there are some good ones.
Most of the Up-themed experiences are currently in Disney’s Animal Kingdom where you can meet Kevin, Russell, and Dug. Or you can become a Wilderness Explorer through the fun scavenger hunt-style program.
And, Animal Kingdom is expanding. Up should have a presence including a Kevin ride vehicle on the new carousel attraction coming to Tropical Americas, which is the land replacing Dinoland U.S.A. But, that’s not all. Now, Up is finally getting its very own dedicated attraction!
The FIRST Up Ride at Disney

The new Up ride is the very first attraction dedicated to the classic Pixar movie Up. According to Disney, construction on the first attraction at a Disney park themed after the beloved movie will begin by the end of 2025.
Disney states, “The attraction is set to blend the charm of family attractions with the colorful and adventure-packed world of Pixar’s “Up,” this spinning carousel will offer a bird’s-eye view of the park’s stunning scenery.”
The concept art makes it look a lot like the Silly Symphony Swings at Disney California Adventure, which is a wave-style swinger. You can expect it to debut in Adventure World at Disneyland Paris sometime in 2026.
Will an Up ride come to the USA?

Since there is already a similar attraction in the US in Dinsey California Adventure, it is unlikely that parkgoers in the US are going to be as jealous of this one as they are of other new Paris attractions like the upcoming Lion King ride and Frozen ride. However, it does make us wonder whether the Silly Symphony Swings will ultimately be rethemed to Up in keeping with Pixar Pier’s theming.
An “Up”grade is not outside the realm of possibility.
However, at present, there are no dedicated Up-themed rides or rethemes announced for Disneyland or Walt Disney World. As always, your friends at the Kennythepirate.com writing team will keep you updated with the latest.
What do you think about the new Up ride? Is it worth getting excited about? Or is it something you would skip? Let us know and be sure to pass the news along.
