More Figment…Yes Please!

Today at the 2025 Annual Shareholder Meeting, Bob Iger shared exciting news. Could more Figment be coming?

Who is Figment?

Figment is a small purple dragon that is a figment of everyone’s imagination. On March 5, 1983, the brand new attraction, “Journey Into the Imagination” opened at FutureWorld in Epcot. It introduced and featured both Figment and the Dreamfinder.

Figment and “Journey Into Imagination” can be found in EPCOT.

Figment has also appeared in a series of Epcot educational media short videos for schools and two Marvel Comics’ Disney Kingdom brand comic book series. These series have become popular once again. You can learn more about Figment HERE.

Figment in the Park

Figment started meeting Guests in the parks again in September of 2023. We were so excited to see his meet-and-greet return!

Even runDisney had Figment as the Two Course Challenge theme for the 2023 Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend!

There is no doubt that Figment is still quite popular with Disney adults as his cult-like following hasn’t slowed down. Do you remember when fans waited hours in line for the Figment popcorn bucket?

More Figment

Today, Iger was asked if more Figment was coming. Iger stated he has been asked “maybe 15 times” about Figment during the shareholder meetings throughout his career.

“I’m going to ask our creative team to make some short-form videos of Figment…Obviously he’s more popular than just a walk-around character at our parks.”

Iger shared that he is going to ask the creative team to make short-form videos of Figment. No mention was made of the Figment movie that was announced in 2022, which leads many to speculate the movie could be canceled.
