A New Record has Been Broken for Disney

Disney has broken a new record. This time, the record is the biggest one yet in the history of the company!

For the past 100 years, Walt Disney Studios have been bringing entertainment into homes across the world. The company has a library of classic animated and award-winning films and it continues to bring joy and entertainment to all who watch.

Records continue to be broken for anticipated feature films before they are even released! You may recall a new record happened for the trailer of Inside Out 2.

The trailer became the best animated trailer launch in Disney history with a record setting 157 million views in 24 hours, beating the trailer for Frozen 2.

Moana 2

The Walt Disney Animation Studios released a new trailer for Moana 2. Moana is about a teenage girl who goes on an adventure to prove she’s a master wayfinder and save her people with the help of the demigod Maui.

Moana and Maui will explore the far seas of Oceania with new friends. Dwayne Johnson (“The Rock”) is returning as the character, Maui in the sequel.

The film is scheduled to be released on November 27, 2024.

The Moana 2 trailer was released across Disney’s social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, X, and YouTube.

“The first look at the sequel to the 2016 musical adventure set a record for the biggest animated trailer launch in Disney history, receiving 178 million views in 24 hours, surpassing Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out 2 (157 million views in 2023), Disney’s Frozen 2 (116 million views in 2019), and Disney and Pixar’s Incredibles 2 (113 million views in 2017).“

“Moana remains an incredibly popular franchise,” Bob Iger, Chief Executive Officer, The Walt Disney Company, said when the sequel was announced in February. “And we can’t wait to give you more of Moana and Maui when Moana 2 comes to theaters this November.”
