Voyage of The Little Mermaid
The Voyage of the Little Mermaid Live Show is located in Animation Courtyard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. During this show, you can sing along with colorful puppets, live performers, and special effects as they retell the story of Ariel.
It has been a significant amount of time since guests have seen the Voyage of The Little Mermaid in the park. In fact, the attraction has remained closed since 2020. Speculation of if the show would even return has made guests wonder what will happen to the attraction space.
New Show
Disney recently confirmed that a brand new show will open later this year! The show will feature stunning new set pieces, cutting-edge effects, and a bold new design that captures Ariel’s imagination and emotions through her unique view of the world around her.
While not much information has been given about the new show, we do know that it is expected to open in Fall of 2024 in a newly refurbished theater in Animation Courtyard. We are also looking forward to seeing a brand new “Kiss the Girl” scene.
Auditions
Disney is now gearing up for the opening of the new show with a Casting Call. The Casting Call says, “Walt Disney World is seeking Actors and Vocalists for “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure,” a fully reimagined theatrical production inspired by the Walt Disney Animation Studios classic, “The Little Mermaid” debuting in fall 2024.“
Interested Actors and Vocalists can submit online to Disney Auditions through February 19th!
If you are a person with puppetry skills, this is your chance too! Walt Disney World is also seeking puppeteers. Interested applicants can submit an application online through February 25th.
